Eurovent
General Assembly 2013
The 55ª General Assembly of Eurovent, European Committee of Manufacturers of Treatment of Air and Refrigeration, that was celebrated in Copenhagen, the 31 of May, counted as is habitual with the presence and the active participation in the same one, of Javier Fernández of Bordons, in its quality of Vice President of Eurovent and of José Mª Ortiz in representation of AFEC.
As it is traditional, the Assembly began with the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting and with an ample report of the President on the activities developed by the association during the preceding exercise. This report gave step to the approval of the annual accounts of the year 2012 and of the budget of the year 2013.
Subsequently, the draft budget for 2014 was presented and approved. This was preceded by a detailed study in which the contribution, via dues, of each of the national associations that are members of EUROVENT was analysed.
In order to comply with the provisions of the Association's Statutes, the Board of Directors was completely renewed and positions were elected from among the candidates presented by each national association. José Antonio Sedano, Commercial Director of Lennox Refac, S.A., was elected Vice President in representation of AFEC. The definitive composition of the board of directors, for the period 2013-2015, remained as follows:

Under another item on the agenda, the General Manager of Eurovent Certification Company reported on the completion of the merger process with Certita to form a new entity, Eurovent Certita Certification, dedicated to the certification of air-conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment.
The list of candidates for the first Board of Directors of the new certification company was then presented to the assembly members. Among those candidates was found, presented by AFEC, Javier Fernández of Bordons, of the company Johnson Controls.
The discussion of the Plan of Action, the exchange of information and points of view among the national associations on themes of general interest and the preparation of the agenda of meetings and activities for the next months, gave step to the public part of the meeting in which they intervened: The President and General Director of AHRI, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute, Steve Yurek; the General Director of Eurovent Certification, Eric Melquiond and the Principal Consultant of BSRIA, Jeremy Towler.
