General Assembly 2017
The General Assembly of EUROVENT, the European Industry Association for Indoor Air Conditioning, Process Cooling and Food Chain Technologies, which brings together national associations directly involved in air conditioning in most European countries, was held on 19 May in Versailles (Paris). The cited meeting took place inside the framework of the Annual Assembly that is celebrated traditionally, and in which, along two days, they took place meetings of their different organs of government, as well as meetings of technicians and of representatives of the associations, in which AFEC was present.
In the meeting of the Commission of Eurovent, that was preceded by the meeting of its Board of directors, spoke, among other themes, about the activities of the Issue Group of Far East, that is supposing an important platform of work of the European industry of HVACR in that region.
At the General Assembly meeting it was decided that the current President Alex Rasmussen, belonging to the Danish Association "Dansk Ventilation", will continue in office for one more year, with the support of First Vice President Naci Sahin, belonging to ISKID, "Turkish Association of Manufacturers of Refrigeration and Air conditioning" and of the rest of vice-presidents that constitute the board of directors, appearing among them Guillermo Rosenberg, General Director of HIPLUS (HITECSA), who is the Spanish representative on the part of AFEC, and member in turn of the board of directors of this last one. In the mentioned Assembly was agreed to increase in two the number of members, happening to be a total of ten.
Likewise, in that same event, Francesco Scuderi, director of technical and regulatory matters of the cited Association, was named General Assistant Secretary, who will go assuming the responsibilities of the current General Secretary Felix Van Eyken. This appointment is part of a series of changes in its organizational structure, as part of a strategy aimed at modernizing its corporate identity and expanding its scope of action, as well as increasing the services offered to its members and, in general, to the entire European air conditioning and refrigeration sector.
