AFEC, along with 5 Spanish businesses belonging to the sector of the air conditioning COLD GROUP, HITECSA, IBERMATIC, MEGA HISSOTTO and TECNIFAN, has participated from the 4 to May 7, 2006, in the modality of stand grouped, in the Fair ISK SODEX of Istanbul, dedicated to the air conditioning, heating and sanitary teams.

This participation is found framed inside the activities of the Sectorial Plan, that the Association presented to the ICEX to develop during the year 2006.

AFEC repeated its presence in this Fair, since in the previous edition, celebrated the year 2004, also been present along with 5 businesses, by means of stand grouped.

This type of participation grouped turns out to be profitable for the businesses, not alone since the point of view of organization and coordination, since AFEC takes charge of all the relating to rent of space, decoration of stand, logistic, promotional activities, etc., but also since the economic point of view, since the ICEX subsidizes in part this activity, besides granting a business trip through market.

As for the space, the stand was of 162 m2, just like in the previous edition, and the decoration of the same one was entrusted to a Turkish business that designed a stand in which dominated the amplitude and the brightness.

The transportation of the material, that each one of the businesses sent to expose in its stand, was done without incidents and in the dates predicted, once presented all the necessary documentation for perform the customs procedures, that in the case of Turkey they are but complicated, since besides the Packing List, bills proforma, etc., they require also the Notebook TIES, indispensable document for carry out a temporary export to this country, It authorizes the corresponding Chamber of Commerce once placed a guarantee, that in the case of Turkey corresponds to the 100% of the value of the sent material.

AFEC as in the previous edition offered the participants the preferential hotel rates to be benefited possibility through the management carried out by the Commercial Office of Spain in Istanbul, that in every moment its aid offered us and contribution.

To facilitate the displacements since the hotel to the exhibition sites and vice versa, AFEC hired the services of a bus that in the end resulted to be of great utility.

In order to promoting the presence of the Spanish businesses in ISK-SODEX 2006, was entrusted to a Turkish business the execution of a mail shot directed to 1,000 recipients, among the ones that distributors were found, prescriptores, installers, importing, etc., to the ones that was sent them a letter announcing the participation of COLD GROUP, HITECSA, IBERMATIC, MEGA HISSOTTO, TECNIFAN and AFEC, in the cited event, including them an invitation to visit the fair.

The manager of AFEC, José Mª Ortiz, displaced to Istanbul to coordinate all the prior actions and remained there during the celebration of the fair, supervising the organization of this participation grouped.

During the days that the event lasted the stand grouped of AFEC included great number of visitors interested in the Spanish market of the air conditioning, in some cases the interest of the same went directed to a first one takes of contact and in other to obtain a knowledge but deep of the sector, in order to coming to begin trade relations.

To facilitate these contacts a Turkish translator included itself, that spoke correctly Spanish.

For the participating businesses the final evaluation of its presence in fair has been very positive not alone by the great quantity of visitors, that in this edition they have reached the figure of 73,984, but also by the quality of the same and by the diversity of their places of origin, -81 different countries-, being centered above all in those of the outskirts, and in other markets of interest for the air conditioning Spanish, as for example Israel, Jordan, Syrian, etc.

The direction of the contest invited the manager of AFEC and to the representative of IFEMA in the fair, to the official reception that took place Friday day 5 of May, during which different diplomas were delivered and commemorative trays to the businesses and so much, noticeable personalities by their contribution to the fair in this and you passed editions, as by the quality of the design of the stand and Of outstanding news.
