General Assembly 2017
During days 10, 11 and 12 of May took place in Brussels diverse acts organized by EHPA, European Heat Pump Association.
The first day the Meeting of the Committee of Associations of EHPA, of which AFEC comprises, in which was held the associations spoke of the most excellent aspects in its countries in relation to the Heat Pumps, as well as of the situation of the market in the same.
This meeting was followed by the General Assembly, in which Martin Forsén, EHPA president, realised a summary of the developed activities, and Thomas Nowak, Secretary General showed to the priorities of the association and the perspective expensive the future.
Throughout both following days the international Forum DECARBHEAT, EHPA initiative was celebrated, in the same enclave, whose last purpose is to obtain that the thermal industry of the European countries progressively reaches the decarbonisation of the refrigeration and heating sector after year 2050. The mentioned event reunited more than 220 participants, between whom they appeared AFEC representatives, as well as professional coming from diverse sectors of the industry of the air conditioning and political people in charge, as much pertaining to European institutions as to different Member States.
During this Forum the Decarbheat Ceremony was celebrated, in which representing of the industry, of associations and different organizations they authenticated his commitment with this initiative. Next the traditional election of the Heat Pump City was celebrated of the Year, whose prize fell this year to the city of Vienna. The event counted on the attendance of SAR Prince Laurent de Bélgica, as well as of Céline Frémault, Minister of Energy and Environment for the Region of Capital Brussels, that showed their support the actions that are being developed.
This project is in line with the European Strategy of Heating and Refrigeration, and ratifies the will to bet by the use of clean technologies, as it is the case of the Heat Pumps, according to the policies of decarbonisation of the environment, that contribute to reach the European objectives in the matter of improvement of the efficiency energetics and use of energy coming from renewable sources, as well as of diminution of the emissions of CO2 to the atmosphere.
