As we have been reporting in previous bulletins, the process began with the reservation of the space, as soon as there was known the definitive relation of companies that decided to take part.

Next it was selected between several companies, which previously had presented his projects, the most suitable, both from the point of view of the design, and of cost. The election relapsed into the same company that had designed and mounted the stands of the previous fairs, that is to say: Casablanca and Buenos Aires. The initial design was retouched several times to adapt it to the real needs of the exhibitors, limiting the common zone to the indispensable minimal thing, to gain individual space of exhibition for the companies.

Cover sheet of Aqua-ThermSpecial attention devoted itself in this occasion to the promotional actions of our presence in the Fair, given historical small presence of the industrial Spanish sectors in the Czech Republic, and for ende of the sector of the Air conditioning.

First of all one entrusted the design of the grouped leaflet. As soon as the same one was accepted, one entrusted his translation to the Czech and his achievement to a company of Prague.

The advertising campaign began with the mailing the Czech and Slovak Associations, of an information summed up about the companies that came in the Fair and on the teams that they were presenting in his stand. The Czech Association published the above mentioned information in two successive numbers of his magazine, before to the celebration of the contest. On not having been able to publish it in the edition of his magazine before to the fair, the Slovak Association will publish it in the number following the contest.

Both affiliations, they were contacted previously in the visit of preparation of the fair, carried out months earlier, by the manager of AFEC. So much in the contacts with the affiliations as in other negotiations, the collaboration of Mr. Prejsa of the Commercial Office of Spain in Prague, has been of big help to the Spanish expedition.

Using the front of the leaflet arranged to meet with light modifications, to support the identity, announcements were published in the three most important professional magazines of the sector, two in the Czech Republic and one in Slovakia. With the hiring of a page of publicity in the official catalogue it was completed the advertising campaign.

The campaign of diffusion had three important paragraphs:

A few weeks before the opening of the contest one entrusted the mailing of 6.000 letters, to the list of directions in power of the organization of the Fair, notifying the presence of the Spanish companies in the Fair and inviting them to visit our stand. In the above mentioned mailing there was enclosed a copy of the leaflet and an invitation to the exchangeable for cash contest by an entry to the enclosure.

A second "mailing", sent to professionals selected by his possible interest for our representation, was inviting the same ones to the presentation of the Spanish sector of the Air conditioning and of the present companies in the fair. A whole of 500 letters was sent.

The work of diffusion complemented itself with the declarations of the persons in charge of the fair to the mass media in which, in all the cases, there distinguished itself the importance of the presence of Spain, both in quantity and in quality, being highlighted at the time that it was the first time that a Spanish delegation was appearing in Aqua-therm.

The web page of the contest was dedicating an important part of his information to the presence of AFEC and his associate companies.

This important advertising effort, carried out to announce our presence in Prague, hardly can be realized by a company that it takes part to individual title. All this without being provided with the evidence, of which a national pavilion, more transcendency and resonance has great in the professional circles and of information that that of only one company.

In the process of internationalization of our companies, the Czech Republic was presenting itself as a natural target in the expansion towards the East, considering:

On Saturday, the 18th of November, at 9:00 a.m., the discharge of the bundles began, 42 containing the machines that would show themselves, and 49 with the catalogues and promotional material, about a stand in construction. Although the material came on time, numerous negotiations were necessary with the company in charge of the transport, due to the innumerable delays in the load of the truck in Madrid. Throughout Sunday and the morning of Monday, the 20th, the process of place of the machines was finished, staying for the evening the last details of decoration, as laying of cartels, finishing touches of painting, etc. The same day of opening of the Fair, between 14:00 and 16:00, realized the official presentation of the Spanish manufacturers and of the Association, which traditionally has being realized in all the grouped fairs and which, as in other occasions, it tries to be a pretext to communicate, to the Spanish exhibitors, with qualified professionals of the country in which the Fair is celebrated. The act, which was celebrated in the Lapidarium, a historical building of beginning of the XVIIIth, which lodges Czech sculpture of all the times, retreat of his initial exterior laying to protect her from the effects of the outdoors, had minor resonance of her waited, although it was provided, between other assistants, with out-standing professionals of the sector and representatives of the Czech and Slovak Associations, as well as of the specializing press.

Like in previous occasions, the presentation carried out, for the manager of AFEC, was structured in three principal paragraphs:

During the coctail that continued to the presentation, it could be proved that few diffusion of English, since business language in the Czech Republic is perhaps the most important barrier for the Spanish manufacturers, and it reinforces the importance of being provided with local collaborators.

The fair, as it was waited, it turned out to be very crowded and highly representative of the sector of the Heating and the Air conditioning of the Czech Republic.

The following information can give an approximate idea of the magnitude of the contest:

To comparative title, we will indicate that in Air conditioning 1999, the number of m2 clear was 35.000, approximately, and the number of professional visitors was 33.320.

In spite of the good general taste of the stands, that of the Spanish grouping was standing out for his originality and especially for the big quantity of exposed machinery. To attend appropriately to the visitors, that as already it has been said they were not using, in general, English as language of communication, the Spanish delegation was provided during the whole fair with three stewardesses native, speaking English or Spanish.

In addition to the papers, leaflets, catalogue, etc. of every exhibitor, distributed between the visitors, a big quantity of copies of the new catalogue of the Association, in format CD, as well as bags of role, with the anagram of AFEC.

In the common zone of reception representatives' visits of several Associations were received, interested in the text of the presentation carried out the first day and in a possible future collaboration with AFEC.

The evaluation of the companies exhibitors, of the fair and of the obtained results, changes greatly, according to the information sent up to the date, AFEC, for the companies assistants to the Fair.

Stand Stand

Like in previous fairs, some companies show to have obtained hundred for hundred of his targets, others declare to have realized a good number of contacts, of which they hope to obtain his fruits in a more or less next future and finally others consider the slightly interesting fair and void the results of his participation. Nevertheless, the general opinion is positive, so much as for results, as as for organization, services, etc.

The Fair ended with a reception offered by the organizers of the same one, to all the exhibitors, that it began with a concert and several ballet pieces, in the symphonic room Smetana of Prague, serving him next a coctail it has dinner.

In the speeches pronounced in this act it was mentioned in several occasions to the important presence of Spain in this edition of the Fair, both in quantity and in quality, being grateful to him on the part of the organization for the above mentioned presence, at the time that one was cheering the Spanish companies up to take part in future editions, to make use of the impact caused in this first occasion.

It is important to indicate, that the entire cost of the participation in Aqua-Therm, has fitted to the due thing and that, as in previous occasions, the economic help of the ICEX, it will overcome the half of the same one. Additionally every company will receive a holdall.

Across a program of Inverse Missions, framed in the first Sectorial Plan of Exportation presented by AFEC in his history, the ICEX, which was approved at the end of last December, has been invited, to different professionals contacted in this lounge, and in the precedents of Casablanca and Buenos Aires, to visit CLIMATIZACIÓN 2001, and to the companies that have requested his presence.

These visits will be, undoubtedly, a good complement to the contacts realized in the said fairs, and it will allow the companies to reinforce the initial contacts realized in the same ones.
