AENOR, Spanish Association of Normalization and Certification is a company dedicated to the development of the standardization and the certification (N + C) in all the industrial sectors and of services. It has as purpose to contribute to improve the quality and the competitiveness of the businesses, as well as to protect the environment.
The activity of AENOR began in the year 1986 when, by means of a ministerial decree that developed the Real Decree 1614/1985, was recognized as the only company approved to develop the tasks of standardization and certification in our country.
To devise the norms exist in the structure of AENOR some technical organs, called Technical Committees of Standardization (AEN/CTN), that study and they present the needs of each sector and they devise and approve the projects of norms that subsequently are published like norms UNITES.
The AEN/CTN are constituted by a president, a secretary belonging to some business association, and a series of directors of all those companies that have interest in the normalization of a theme in concrete (manufacturers, Administration, consumers, laboratories, centers of investigation, AENOR,...).
Each committee has a number, a title, a composition and a field of activity approved.
The participation and the commitment of AFEC with the activities related to the Standardization, goes back to the year 1979 with IRANOR and the year is consolidated 1985, in which the Association takes charge of the office of the secretary of the Committee AEN/CTN 100. AIR CONDITIONING.
To it has added the presence of the Association, repeated times, in the board of directors of AENOR, as Corporate director, in the Lasting Use Goods segment.
