Air Conditioning Trade Fair 2005

As it was predicted, AIR CONDITIONING 2005, in its eleventh edition, opened its doors in the exhibition Sites of Madrid, February 23. Along the four days that the contest lasted they have developed, as usual, a great number of activities, in many of which has participated actively AFEC. Subsequently an outline of the same is collected.

Preparatory works.

As every event of certain importance, previously to their execution, a work of preparation must have been carries out that, in the case of the Fair, has been summarized in the works carried out by the Committee Organizer and the Commissions of Marketing and of Technical Days, along numerous meetings that were initiated to first of the year 2004.

AFEC has been present in the Committee Organizer, in the first place showing off the presidency of the same one in the person of Aurelio Garcia, President of AFEC, and through several member businesses of our association, that have participated with regularity in the deliberations of the same one.
The Commission of Marketing, presided by José Mª Ortiz, Manager of AFEC, has centered its efforts in actions related to: Collecting of Visitors, campaigns of Promotion and Publicity, Spectacles Regulation proposal, review of the Official Catalogue, review of the Market of Employment, etc.
The Technical Commission has tried in their works the development of the traditional Technical Days, as well as the coordination of the same with the presentations of the Congress CLIMAMED, that with exceptional character this year in Madrid is celebrated, because of the Fair, and inside the CLIMATE FORUM framework, denomination under which the different activities are grouped, presentations, congresses, presentations, etc., that can take place in parallel to the Inside him.

The Committee Organizer, has gone knowing with regularity the works of the different Commissions and Subgroups in which they have been divided the same, and making the opportune decisions.

Special importance has been given in this edition to the Gallery of INNOVATION, for which new bases have been edited, seeking to stimulate, to promote and to diffuse innovative projects in the sector of the air Conditioning, based on: the degree of innovation, the functionality, the design and the quality in the presentation.

Summary of Activities

Previously to any outline of the activities that have developed because of the Parlor, is obligatory to mention the great snowfall with the one that woke up Madrid Wednesday 23, that caused innumerable delays and problems, so much to the exhibitors as to visitors, speakers, etc.

With the step from the hours the situation went stabilizing although the difficulties of displacement by highway and the delays and cancellations in the flights were maintained along the day, affecting above all to the first visiting outside of Madrid.

Inauguration.

In spite of them mentioned problems, the program was maintained, that was initiated, with the inauguration at 11.30 o'clock h., on the part of Javier Branches, Secretary general of the Department of the Dwelling, that was received by José María Álvarez of the apple Tree, Executive President of IFEMA, accompanied by Fermín Lucas, and Manuel Sarti, Director and General deputy Director respectively, as well as of María Valcarce, Director of the Parlor, and of the Committee

Initially it was predicted that the inauguration was carried out at 10.00 o'clock h. in the morning, by the Minister of the Dwelling, María Antonia Trujillo, that finally could not attend, being excused in the last moment.

Prizes of air Conditioning.

Previously to the ceremony of cut of the inaugural tape of the fair, was delivered to Francisco Muñoz of Leyva, and to Rafael Budí Dupuy the letter, by means of which communicated them itself its condition of rewarded with the Prizes of air Conditioning 2005, according to agreement taken, unanimously, in the breast of the corresponding Commission.

Climamed.

Thursday 24 took place, at 10.00 o'clock h. the inauguration of CLIMAMED, 2º Mediterranean Congress of air Conditioning, that, organized by ATECYR, developed in parallel to the traditional Technical Days, to its closure on the 25, Friday. To the act of inauguration they attended the presidents of the national associations of engineers of different countries, ATECYR, AICARR, APIRAC, as well as the President of AFEC, Aurelio Garcia that directed a brief allocution to the presents, and the President of ASHRAE, Ronald P. Vallart, that dictated a conference.

Along those days they were presented a total of 54 presentations. The act of closure, that was initiated with the plenary session, in which participated, among others speakers, Juan Ramón walnut trees, member of the board of directors of AFEC, included the presence of the Counselor of the General Direction of Energy and Transportation of the European Union.

That same day at night took place a supper with spectacle, like clasp of farewell.

The third edition of the Congress will be organized by the French Association and will take place in Lyons the year 2006.

Technical days

Inside FORUM CLIMATE, generic name under the one that agglutinate all the activities that develop during the fair, have taken place the traditional Technical Days, continuing the format that so much success has had in previous editions, that is to say, multiple short conferences, around 20 minutes of exposition, followed by 20 minutes of conversation, grouped by themes and moderates by professionals of recognized prestige, of the sector.

On the whole 27 presentations were presented, acting as the moderators in representation of AFEC: Rafael Budí Dupuy, Pablo Martin Suarez and Javier Lazarus.

All the presentations, so much those of the Congress as those of the Days, treated the following themes:

Thermal Solar energy and other Renewable Energies.
Energy efficiency in the Buildings.
Maintenance and Exploitation of Buildings.
Environmental impact and Protection of the Environment.
Quality of the Interior Air and Health.
Systems of Ventilation.
The Parameters of the Welfare.
Quality of the Installations.
Normalization and Regulation.

Prizes CNI

The afternoon of on the 25, CNI, proceeded to the delivery of the "Prize CNI to the Quality of the Installations". Subsequently and inside the same act, delivery of a plate was done to the representatives of the businesses instaladoras honored, associates of CNI, by to have maintained its activity, of uninterrupted form during more than 50 years.

To the act they attended as you invited, among others, María Valcarce and Lola González, Director and Commercial Director, respectively, of the Parlor and Aurelio Garcia, President of AFEC.

Advance of results

The figures that are presented subsequently, they are an advancement of the data, that in the next days IFEMA will bring to light officially, of more detailed form, on the main magnitudes that define the Fair, such as: Busy total surface, number of exhibitors and number of visitors.

AFEC in AIR CONDITIONING 2005.

As it has been shown along the preceding paragraphs, dedicated to AIR CONDITIONING, AFEC been present in practically all the activities that develop before, during and after the Parlor.

The presence of AFEC in the fair, with a small stand, to see photo, favorable a series of encounters, so much of Institutions, and Official Agencies, that take advantage of this opportunity to know better the sector and its evolution, as with visitors of other countries, especially of businesses property development companies of other parlors of the sector, experts of the increasingly more important presence of the Association in activities of impulse of the export, among ours Associated businesses.

Additionally encounters with other associations are maintained, or businesses, without forgetting the visits to the stands of our associated businesses.

Besides, as in previous editions, AFEC organized an Inverse trade Mission, to bring professional visitors to the Fair.

Subsequently, we review some of these activities.

Day 23 of February.

.- First thing in the morning we receive, in the stand, the visit of Christine Michels, Delegate in Spain of the Fair of Frankfurt, accompanied by Dirk John, Director of the Parlor ISH-Frankfurt, moment that collects the photo that accompanies this outline. During the meeting different aspects of the participation were commented of AFEC in said contest, with a small stand yielded free by Messe Frankfurt.

Likewise, it treated the possibility to call a lunch of work with the responsible for the national associations integrated in Eurovent/Cecomaf.

.- At noon, took place a lunch of work with the reputable press, in which they participated on the part of AFEC, Aurelio Garcia, president of the Committee Organizer of the Parlor and José Mª Ortiz, as responsible for the Commission of Marketing.

.- First thing in the morning in the afternoon, a meeting with the delegate in Spain of the fair was maintained AQUA-THERM, of Prague, prep school of the one that would take place Friday 25.

Day 24 of February

Air conditioning 2005 .- At 9.30 o'clock h., Pilar Budí and José Mª Ortiz, they met, with the participating foreign professionals in the Inverse trade Mission, in the vestibule of the hotel where they lodged, for, after greeting them and after the opportune presentations, to proceed to their transfer, in a bus hired to such effect, to the exhibition Sites, where they were received by the representatives of the Spanish businesses, that had invited to participate In this Mission, and by Lola González, Commercial Director of air Conditioning.

Immediately later, it proceeded to carry out a presentation of AFEC, of IFEMA and of AIR CONDITIONING.

In the epigraph, dedicated to export, of this bulletin, a more detailed information of this activity is collected, that includes the relation of countries, invited businesses and participating Spanish businesses in the Mission.

.- Practically being overlapped with this act we receive the visit of Rafael Márquez Osorio, General deputy Director of foreign trade of industrial Goods, of the Department of Industry, Commerce and Tourism accompanied by María Red Rose, Secretary of the Aid management committee Commission to the Associations of Exporters, of the cited Department, that, accompanied by the manager of AFEC, they traveled through some stands of businesses, associates of AFEC.

During this it traveled through José Mª Ortiz, explained some of the pecularities that distinguish the machines of air conditioning of them dedicated to the industrial or commercial cold, as well as the differences among the markets to the ones that are directed the same.

.- Subsequently a meeting was maintained with the responsible for projects of the Hotel Technological Institute, Jaime Pons. In the course of the same one treated the offering of contribution of AFEC and the possible participation of our association in the working parties, that on different themes, such as: Installations, Environment, Energy Efficiency, etc., they could be formed in the breast of said Institute.

.- Finally, subject to permission of the responsible for the stands, accompanied by María Valcarce, Lola González, and of an official photographer of the fair, different machines they were selected and teams exposed, representative of the different sectors that conform the fair, with purpose to carry out a photographic report that permit, in the future, their utilization in pamphlets and promotional documents of subsequent editions of AIR CONDITIONING.

Day 25 of February

.- First thing in the morning in the morning, according to him predicted, we receive the visit, with the one that the ICEX honors us traditionally, Spanish Institute of foreign trade, in this occasion represented at the highest level, by his General Director of Promotion, Pedro Moriyón, accompanied, by Vicente José Mount Gan, Director of the Division of consumer goods and by Antonio González Ferrari, Communities Equipment Head of the department.

Air conditioning 2005 They accompanied by the manager, they carried out a brief one traveled through, by the building 10, during which different aspects related to the characteristics of the Spanish market of the air conditioning were analyzed, from the markets to the ones that of priority form the export of this sector is directed, and the general characteristics of the teams that conform the nucleus of the production in Spain.

Taking advantage of the presence of the previously cited people in the fair, Aurelio Garcia did delivery of the Honor Associate Diploma of AFEC, in our stand, to D. Pedro Moriyón.

.- Subsequently we attended the visit of Inge Schuckmann-Luig, delegate of the Fair Big 5 Show, of Dubai, with purpose to advance the necessary steps with a view to the presence of AFEC, in this Parlor, according to is collected in the Sectorial Plan of Export of the present year.

.- Subsequently a business meeting was maintained with Josef Domorád and Michal Drádanzský, Director and Commercial Director, respectively of AQUA-THERM, given that AFEC anticipates to organize a stand of participation grouped in Prague.

.- Taking advantage of the availability, for some minutes, of Fermín Lucas, Aurelio Garcia proceeded to deliver him, in the presence of María Valcarce, Lola González and José Mª Ortiz, the supporting Diploma of IFEMA, like the Associate of Honor of AFEC.

. -The day was completed with the meeting maintained with Olga Pons, and Andrea Codina, representatives in Spain of Shows Convegno, in which they treated different aspects of our participation the year 2006 in it mentioned fair, for which an initial payment in space reserve concept has been carried out. In the course of the meeting descriptive documentation of the new exhibition Sites was delivered us of Fira Kite.

.- As closing of the activities of the Congress CLIMAMED, was celebrated in a localities of Madrid a dinner show, in which participated most of the congresspersons, as well as an abundant representation of professionals of the sector of the air conditioning among the ones that formed splits noticeable members of the board of directors of AFEC and representatives of several of our businesses.

During the days that AIR CONDITIONING lasted, they were maintained a series of contacts, with different mass media, so much national like the foreigners. Among these last we emphasize:

The Czech magazine, CHLAZENI KLIMATIZACE, whose director, Irena Berguerová, had participated previously in the Mission of Prescriptores of Opinion, that took place the month of November of 2004.
The magazine JARN, the most important publication of the world, dedicated to air Conditioning.

Documentation

Among the documentation delivered in the stand, is worthwhile to emphasize the new trilingual pamphlet of AFEC, in Spanish, English and French, that incorporates, in this last version, the relation brought up to date of all the associates including the associates of honor. Besides it has been enriched with photos of some of the activities carried out in the breast of the association.

It was delivered, likewise, documentation on the use of the cooling R-410A and R- 407C and on the European association Eurovent/Cecomaf.

Taking advantage of the imminent presence of AFEC, with an individual stand in the fair ISH of Frankfurt, the design of two advertising placards to two businesses specialized was entrusted, that to serve as presentation of the Association of clear form and brought up to date, and to the time to permit its subsequent utilization like decorative elements of the stands of the fairs in which participate AFEC.

The stand of AFEC in AIR CONDITIONING supposed the premiere of the English, Spanish, trilingual version and French of the same. (In the previous page one of them is shown cited placards).
