The 51ª General Assembly of Eurovent has taken place in Ljubljana (Slovenia), between the days 27 and May 29, 2009. Optimization of the meetings of the executive board and of the General Assembly

To avoid the repetition of the treated themes in the up the meetings cited, to the ones that attend habitually the same people in representation of the associations national members of Eurovent, agrees to celebrate the General Assembly during the first semester of the year and a meeting of the executive board in the second half.

The General Assembly will be divided into two parts. The first one will be celebrated behind closed doors with participation limited, while the second part will be open to guests of other associations and businesses associates of the national associations.

Contribution of the national associations

The proposal is presented, that subsequently will be submitted to approval of the General Assembly, that the contributions to Eurovent be established in base to the GDP of each country and they be distributed among the associations, members of Eurovent, of each country. They are discussed and they analyze the consequences of this proposal in different supposed and countries.

Election of president and six vice president

The executive board agrees to present to approval to the Assembly, the proposal of continuity of the current president, Lambert Bouwmeester, during a year, to give step the following year to Carlo Grossi. It agrees to propose to the Assembly the election of the vice president nominated by the different national associations.

Designation of auditors

The executive board thanks to Emmanuelle Briere, of the association GFCC-Uniclima, the audit of the accounts of the year 2008 and agrees to propose to the General Assembly its designation as the auditor of the accounts of the year 2009.

Election of president of the CPPC. (Committee of Politics and of Programs of Certification)

At the suggestion of the board of directors the nomination is approved of Gian Carlo Sormani as the president of the CPPC and the incorporation to the committee is accepted of Anders Freyschuss, like member of full right of the same one.

General Assembly

The meeting of the 51to General assembly of Eurovent, was initiated May 29 with a brief allocution of the President, Lambert Bouwmeester, that subsequently led to the development on the order of the day.

Inside the same one, the president of AHRI, Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute, Jim Walters, expressed its satisfaction by the fruitful contribution among both associations, emphasizing, among others themes developed in its speech, the growing importance of the legislative action of the governments and, consequently, the special attention that the industry should put in its relation with them.

Subsequently Mr Bouwmeester shelled the most important actions carried out in the breast of the Association, during the past exercise, to finish presenting the Executive Director, Joop Hoogkamer, that will be incorporated to its position in August of 2009. This incorporation is one of the most important milestones predicted in the development of the Business Plan.

Nomination of the representatives of Eurovent in Eurovent Certification Company

The relation of chosen members to form part of the Committee of Direction of Eurovent Certification Company for the period 15 April 2009-15 April 2012 is:

Subsequently, and once they approved by the Assembly, the Strategic Plan for Eurovent Certification, the account of results and balance of the year 2008, and the Plan of action for the period 2010-2011 was discussed once more the amount of the contributions of the national associations.

Contribution of the national associations

A fixed contribution of 4,000 Euro is adopted and a variable quantity related to the GDP of the country, to distribute among the national associations, members of Eurovent, of each country. A stop of the 15% of increment in the contribution of the national associations is established that, as a result of this new structure, they see increased their contribution.

Once it approved this point and, bound with him, the budgets of the year 2010, proceeded to the election by means of secret ballot of the President and of the 6 vice-presidents for the period 2010-2011. The result of the election is collected in the enclosed picture.

The meeting finished with the programming of the meetings of the board of directors, executive board, Commissions, etc., for the next year.

Inside this program emphasizes, the nomination of Bruges (Belgium) as headquarters of the 52ª Assembly of Eurovent, that will take place between the days 26 and May 28, 2010, and the designation, for the next ten years, of the countries in which the successive general assemblies will be celebrated.

According to this plan the sequence is: Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, France, Finland, Spain, Turkey and Slovenia.
