The 50 General Assembly of Eurovent, organized by ISKID, the Turkish Association of team-makers of air conditioning and cooling, has been celebrated in Istanbul the days 28, 29 and 30 of the past month of May.

Eurovent

The following picture sample, by way of introduction, that is Eurovent, European Association that groups in its breast to the national associations of team-makers of air Conditioning and Cooling and a plan of its organs of government and of its structure of work.

As in other occasions the celebration of the Assembly, point of annual encounter of the different national associations of the sector, gave rise to multiple meetings among the ones that emphasize the corresponding to the Environmental Commission, that of the executive board and that of the exactly said General Assembly.

The workdays of the days 29 and 30 they were preceded by a supper of welcome, on the 28 in the afternoon, in a ship while carried out a traveled through by the Bosporus.

Subsequently it is reviewed, of brief form, the content and the treated themes in the previously mentioned workdays.

Environmental commission

As it is custom, part of the meeting was dedicated to report of the current situation of the application, in some cases, and of the development in other, of the different Guidelines and European Regulations that affect to the sector. Among them the Guidelines:

EEE, on Energy Efficiency of the Buildings.
RAEE, on Residues of electrical Appliances and Electronic.
RuSP, on Restrictions to the Utilization of you determined Dangerous Substances in the electrical Appliances and Electronic.
PUE, on Ecological Design of Products that Utilize Energy.
Regulation 842/2006, on you determined Gases Fluorados of Effect Greenhouse.
Etc.

The exposition of the situation and of the actions carried out by the Commission along the exercise 2007, the representatives of the different national associations they carried out it that participate with regularity in said Commission, among the ones that was found, in name of AFEC, José Mª Ortiz as responsible for the monitoring of the three first Guidelines cited.

It agreed a common position, with relation to the consultation emitted by the European Commission relating to the review of the Managing one EEE and to the review of the Managing one RAEE and important aspects related to the different were discussed "LOTS", groups of teams or products, object of consideration in the Managing one PUE, and the position that should adopt Eurovent in these preliminary studies in which the measures are analyzed That subsequently they will become law once approved the Board of directors.

They treated, likewise, fear relating to the future of the Commission, its budget and structure, as well as the need that the same one act with more quickness and with greater level of participation of the national associations.

Executive board

The executive board celebrated one of their more important sessions of recent years, since among others important themes of their agenda the approval was found of the "Business Plan", on whose content and reach they had been themselves maintaining meetings and exchange of proposals among the different national associations, along the last months.

The project presented finally was approved with some corrections of detail, and its content is analyzed more in detail in the corresponding section dedicated to the General Assembly.

Special attention was dedicated during the meeting to the relations between Eurovent and Eurovent Certification Company, including the composition of the committee called CPPC (Committee of Politics and of Programs of Certification), whose assignment is to watch for the integrity of the programs of certification, and its accounting states.

The analysis of the financial situation of Eurovent including the accounting states pertaining to the year 2007, the evolution of the account of results of the present year and the budget of the year 2009, first year of entrance in vigor of the "Business Plan", consumed likewise a good part of the time of the assistants, that analyzed also a first advance of budget for the year 2010.

It agreed to renew the agreement with AGORIA, so that continue exercising the works of Office of the secretary of Eurovent in the person of Felix Go Eyken, and to defer the presence of Mr. Dieryckx for some months at the front of the Environmental Commission, to the presentation of a replacement.

The relations were analyzed with AHRI, Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigration Insitute, with relation to the programs of certification that maintain both institutions.

The meeting of the executive board, prep school of the General Assembly, closed with the approval of the proposal of creation of two new working parties and with the designation dated and place of the following Committee.

General assembly

The General Assembly, continuing the Order of business, approved in the first place the minutes of the previous Assembly, celebrated in Madrid and organized by AFEC, and listened and approved, likewise, the reports of activity presented by the President, the Director of Operations, the Secretary and the Director of the Environmental Commission.

They approved the accounts of the year 2007 with the seen good of the financial controllers, the discussion led to itself on the "Business Plan" that included the budgets of the year 2009 and an advance of the year 2010.

The Assembly approved likewise with some small correction, the Manual of Certification of Eurovent and the proposal of nomination of the representatives of Eurovent, like the shareholders, in the board meeting of Eurovent Certification Company, as well as the designation of Mr. Railio at the front of the previously cited CPPC.

The chapter dedicated to the certification closed with the annual report of activities of it cited company, presented by its Director Mr. Benoist.

With the speech of the president and the presentation of the preliminary agenda of the next assembly that will take place in Slovenia, on the part of the representatives of the association of said country, closed a very tight General Assembly that, without doubt, will suppose an ahead important step in the to occur of Eurovent with the progressive application of the so many times mentioned "Business Plan".

Business Plan of Eurovent

Along the last years has debated in the different meetings of the executive board and of Direction of Eurovent, the need to bring up to date and to prompt the activities of the Association, like vehicle of expression of the European manufacturers and organ of representation of the same in the institutions and European forums, in which they debate and they approve measures and legislative texts that, as has shown the experience, They have a great influence in the to occur of our industry.

None of the different proposals presented, obtained the consent of the associations until because of the assumption of the Presidency of Eurovent on the part of Francisco Muñoz of Leyva, in representation of AFEC, this set, as main objective of its mandate, the renewal of the Association by means of the subjugation to approval of a "Business Plan".

This it should collect in their making, the structure and the objectives that should have and to pursue, respectively, Eurovent, to give their associates, the European businesses through their national associations, the services that these expect and they demand. To this objective united the imminent renewal, by reasons of age, of the Secretary and Director of Operations of the association.

Numerous consultations, changes in the editing, modifications and suggestions have given as consequence a text accepted by all the national associations that voted it positively, like already has been said before, in the General Assembly.

The structure approved collects, the change of denomination of the working Parties by that of Sections of Product with the idea that in their breast they be undertaken, of different, general form fear relating to each product, without being centered excessively, as up to now, in aspects very defined of the same.

It emphasizes likewise the figure of the Executive, as main Director and only head of the activity and from the day by day of the Association, reporting to its organs of government, with the aid of a future Technical Director and of a Secretary general clerk of him. Along the year 2009, the change of the current situation to the new one will be initiated and therefore said year will suppose it put of long of the Business Plan.
